Splitboard Guiding

If you splitboard already then you know the epic adventures and untouched powder decents that can be accessed by splitboard, touring into the backcountry. Is there a mountain peak or hidden couloir you’ve heard of and you want to go ride?

At MINT Snowboarding we have one of the few fully qualified snowboard instructors in the world who are also a fully qualified mountain guide working with us. David Gladwin is a UIAGM mountain guide who has been living, working and playing in the Alps for over 15 years. David can also guide ski touring groups or mixed groups of skiers and snowboarders.

From 1 day tours to multi-day trips, we offer splitboard guiding and routes throughout the Alps, as well as in Morzine, Avoriaz as the rest of the Portes du Soleil. Join us on classic routes or talk to us and we can create your own bespoke splitboard adventure to remote areas, staying overnight in mountain huts.

Or are you intrigued and keen to give splitboarding a go for the first time? We can teach you the techniques of splitboard touring as well as essential mountain safety skills.

Examples of classic touring routes in the Portes du Soleil can be found below to get you inspired. There are a huge range of routes available in the Portes du Soleil area, from first-time splitboarders through to seriously steep couloir descents and, of course, everything in between. Most of the peaks below have numerous descent options which can be chosen dependent on snow conditions and ability level.
