You are already an good intermediate / advanced level rider, but no longer progressing and not sure how to? Why take further tuition?

There are loads of reasons to carry on with lessons and coaching, but one of the most important is to keep it fun and never stop progressing. Maybe a cliché, but it’s true ‘there is always more to learn’. Whether it be: taking advantage of the construction of your snowboard in order to carve a clean track around turns rather than skidding the board, stopping the back of your board skidding out at the end of turns on more challenging terrain, learning to do frontside rail slides on the nose or tail of your board, doing backflips on the airbag and then taking it to the jumps, making controlled, fluid turns on tricky off piste terrain rather than constantly stopping and starting, linking butters to nose presses to reverts to 180s…

Having a few falls is part of learning to snowboard. Having instruction will minimise this dramatically, however we still recommend the use of helmets and wrist guards, especially for beginners, kids and those learning freestyle. Bruises and injuries seriously affect your confidence… and confidence is key to learning to snowboard!

Our standard meeting points are as follows:

Avoriaz – top of the Prodains télécabine (3S)

Morzine – top of the Pleney télécabine. At the top of the télécabine turn right, walk past the terrace and you will see the MINT meeting sign.

Les Gets – bottom / top of the Chavannes télécabine (check your booking confirmation)

Chatel – bottom of the Pierre Longue chairlift

All of our instructors are British or fluent English speakers. We teach lessons in English, French, Italian and Spanish.

There are so many benefits of taking private snowboard lessons. Firstly, private lessons will allow you to progress at your own pace which you can dictate. If you have specific the areas of your snowboarding which you are wanting to progress, then a lesson on your own with a professional instructor will allow you to target these goals. Compared to group lessons, you are able to have more 1-on-1 time with your instructor and the lesson is tailored more closely to your skills. Private lessons are also the ultimate way to build confidence on the slopes, ideal for anyone needing a confidence boost.

We don’t recommend you snowboard with a backpack. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced rider wanting to progress, a backpack can put you off balance, restrict your movement and make you more tense when snowboarding. We recommend you leave your backpack at home and put any water or snacks in your pocket.

We do not include a lift pass in the price of our private or group lessons. You will need to purchase a lift pass prior to arriving for your lessons.

For our adult group snowboard lessons, we have a maximum of 5 people in per instructor in a group.
