Off-piste, backcountry & splitboarding courses to exciting destinations with snowboarding IFMGA Mountain Guide David Gladwin…
Here is a preview of our 2022 Backcountry Program:
We have a huge choice of backcountry snowboard trips running worldwide, from the Portes Du Soleil in France to riding record deep powder in Japan (postponed until Jan 2023) or snowboarding summit to sea in arctic Norway. And if you are looking for a bespoke backcountry trip, then we can take you anywhere you want to go!
Our courses run at different levels depending on your ability and experience off piste. If you are a backcountry novice looking to venture off-piste for the first time then we recommend starting with our Off-Piste Intro Course. For advanced freeriders looking to ride steep and technical descents we would recommend our Advanced Backcountry Course in the infamous La Grave. If you are unsure of which of our backcountry or splitboarding courses would suit you then please get in touch and we will happily give you advice. We make a huge effort to ensure that those joining our courses are of the same ability.
All of our backcountry trips are run by our snowboard guide, David Gladwin. David is one of just a handful of snowboarders worldwide to hold the prestigious IFMGA Mountain Guide qualification. This means he has the skills & knowledge to safely take you on any terrain including riding high altitude glaciers and using crampons & mountaineering equipment to access otherwise inaccessible lines. As well as being safety conscious David has an incredible skill to create exciting snowboarding adventures that will be etched in your memory for life.
