Janet grew up in Estonia, where despite living in one of Europe’s flattest countries, she developed a passion for snowboarding at her local man-made slopes. She later moved to the UK, where winter family holidays to Europe sparked her love for the mountains. Janet eventually made the leap to Italy where she spent six winters. During this time, Janet travelled around the Italian and French Alps training for a year before gaining her instructor qualification in Piedmont. Since qualifying as a snowboard instructor, Janet has spent two winters in Italy and one in Switzerland.
As a lover of cultures and experiences, Janet was drawn to MINT for the chance to explore a new resort, meet new people and join a team that aligns with her. Outside of snowboarding, she spends her summers working in hospitality by the sea in the south of England, combining her love for people with surf trips and coastal adventures
