SEPTEMBER SNOW

A week ago it was still very much summer here in the mountains, the temperatures were hot (some days up to 30), and the trees were only just starting to get their beautiful autumn colors. Today, September 25th, the freezing level has crept down to 1300M and snow has fallen across the alps, turning everything into a beautiful winter wonderland! This is very early for winter, but we are definitely not complaining. Resorts near and far have had their first sprinkling of snow. We will be heading to Avoriaz later today to throw some snowballs and feel that lovely crunch of snow beneath our feet!
