Avoriaz is seen by many as the snowboard capital of Europe. The terrain on offer is more than amazing and will suit every level and style of snowboarder: trees, big cliff drops, powder bowls and easy, wide flats – it’s all here.
The Lindarets bowl is accessible for snowboarders of any level and offers fun, off piste runs through the trees. Seasonnaires have long since crowned the Prolays and Star Wars runs as the best there is; and as witnessed by the numbers lined up for the side hits.
Avoriaz has long since been recognised as an crucial hub to the history and development of snowboarding in Europe and the resort management are very positive in promoting snowboarding. There is an abundance of good snowparks; 4 snowparks in Avoriaz alone as well as the Burton Stash.
Avoriaz is accessible directly from Morzine town (either via the Prodains Express or riding over via Super Morzine) and is centrally located in the Portes du Soleil region, one of the largest international skiing regions in the world.
MINT Snowboarding is the original Avoriaz snowboard school, established in 2006. MINT offers private snowboard lessons, group snowboard lessons, freestyle coaching and backcountry & splitboard guiding in Avoriaz. Lessons are available for adults and kids of all abilities, from beginner to advanced riders.
Snowboard lessons in Avoriaz are with our reputable team of qualified British snowboard instructors or fluent English speaking instructors. MINT is an award winning snowboard school including winning the title of ‘Best Snowsports School‘ at the 2016 & 2017 World Snow Awards.
Avoriaz is a great place to take a freestyle snowboard lesson due to the numerous well maintained snowparks located centrally in the resort.
The Avoriaz snowboard school meeting point is at the top of the Prodains Express telecabine where most ski schools meet, although we can also meet on the Plateau (near the Yeti Bar) for private lessons and mini shred lessons.
