Families have been enjoying our Family Snowboard Holidays in Morzine since 2012. These popular holiday packages include fantastic catered chalet accommodation along with superior snowboard instruction and snowboard equipment for your kids.

For the accommodation in April 2026, we have taken on a catered chalet in the centre of Morzine located right by the tourist office. Getting to & from the ski slopes in Avoriaz couldn’t be easier as you are right next to the bus stop taking you to the bottom of the Prodains télécabine. After a day of snowboarding you are right in the centre of town with all the activities and shops it has to offer.

With the catered chalet experience you can enjoy a truly relaxing snowboard holiday with your family, focusing on the fun and forgetting the chores!

For their time on the slopes, your kids will be booked into snowboard lessons with our reputable instructors at MINT Snowboard School. For the first-timers, we can guarantee to get them hooked on snowboarding for life! Or for those who have been before, it’s all about progressing their riding and gaining more confidence and independence all over the mountain.

We choose to run our Family Snowboard Camp over the Easter holidays, when the weather is warm and the snow is soft and slushy… a perfect time of year for kids learning to snowboard!

A Fantastic Time With MINT Once Again For Our Kids

The lessons are all about learning through fun whilst improving their technical ability and allowing them to believe in themselves.

Two years ago in Morzine our eldest two (then 7 and 5) had a brilliant time learning with Iban, while our youngest (2.5 at the time) had a couple of sessions with Anna that he absolutely loved. We've just finished a week in Avoriaz where the older two (now 9 and 7) had a week of group lessons, while the youngest (now 4) had four days of private lessons, all with Simone. We're so impressed with all the instructors that they've had from MINT, making the lessons all about learning through fun whilst improving their technical ability and allowing them believe in themselves. Rather than trying a new place every year, we'd rather come back to the same area just so that the kids can enjoy lessons with MINT again, and improve both their general riding as well as their freestyle skills. We'd love for them to have any of the instructors they've had before again, but we also know that if it's someone new next time they'll also be getting a guaranteed fantastic experience!

The Accommodation

Catered chalet in Morzine

Enjoy 7 nights catered accommodation right in the centre of Morzine. For the 2026 Family Camp we have taken on two large apartments located right next to the tourist office square where we can accommodate up to 5 – 6 families. There is plenty of space to relax inside whilst outside you have the tourist office square where the kids can run around and wear off any excess energy or have a ride on the carrousel. This week also gives the adults a chance to enjoy a break away from cooking, as breakfasts and dinners are provided. There is even the option for a separate, earlier kids sitting for dinner to truely give the adults some time out!

Structure

MINT Snowboarding will provide the tuition for your children for 3 days either on the Morzine or Avoriaz slopes (dependent on snow conditions and ability). The main focus of the lessons will be learning through fun & games, enabling your children to adopt the basics of snowboarding in an exciting and stimulating environment.

The kids are partnered up and taught in pairs by one of the MINT Snowboarding kid specialist instructors. The package includes 3 x 2hr lessons over 3 consecutive days starting on Monday, with the option of booking further lessons. Lessons are based upon 2 kids, of a similar age & ability, sharing. If you prefer your child to have a private instructor, this is possible for a supplementary fee.

The soft, slushy snow and warmer springtime weather make Easter the best time of year for little kids to learn to snowboard.

  • What equipment does my child need for snowboarding lessons?

    Your child will require a snowboard, snowboard boots, and bindings. Make sure the gear is properly sized for their height, weight and level as this is crucial to their progression. Whether you are renting or buying, your local snowboard shop will be able to advise you with this.

  • What hints and tips do you have for first time kids snowboarding?

    Give kids the choice – whether they want to ski or snowboard doesn’t matter as long as they are enjoying time on the snow.

    Don’t try and get them to learn both – trying to pick up both skiing and snowboarding at the same time will only be confusing, tiring and dramatically reduce progression in either one or both sports.

    Give them slope time in small doses – keep it short and sweet and don’t tire them out (hot chocolate breaks always go down well!).

    Don’t teach your kids yourself – it’s well worth the investment in lessons from an expert to speed up progression, keep them safe, make sure they have fun and (most of all) avoid any family arguments!

    Give kids an emergency snack – something to carry in their pockets for times of need (treat-size chocolate bars or boxes of raisins provide a pocket-friendly sugar hit).

    Mittens not gloves – they are way easier to get on and off, and usually warmer too. Invest in a good pair of mittens as your kids will have their hands in the snow a lot!

  • Should my kids learn to ski before learning to snowboard?

    We get asked this question all the time and the answer is absolutely no they do not! Kids can learn to snowboard from any age and we regularly teach kids as young as 3 years old who have never seen snow before, never mind a pair of skis.

    The important thing is to let them choose… if they want to ski then great, if they want to snowboard even better ????

  • What age can my kids start to snowboard?

    Kids can learn to snowboard from around 3 years old (same as starting them skiing). We regularly teach kids from as young as 3 years old. No child is the same so it does depend on the individual – strength, energy, desire to snowboard etc. We recommend giving your child the choice, let them tell you when they are ready to start snowboarding!
