MINT Snowboarding since 2006. World Snow Award Winners in 2016 & 2017!
Simone is our Italian smiling ball of fun and energy. He started snowboarding at 12 years old in the Aosta valley, Italy and then spent his next years all over the Italian Alps learning to snowboard and eventually becoming a fully qualified snowboard instructor.
His love for snowboarding was born out of his passion for surfing, looking for a way to ride sideways everyday, all year round. His favourite place to ride is the Portes Du Soleil and the Dolomites. If you are heading out off piste this winter keep an eye out for this guy, he loves powder and freeride.
If you happen to be on the Italian coast in the summer you might see him teaching surfing (yes there are waves in the Mediterranean sea) and windsurfing.
We cannot recommend MINT enough!! Right from our initial enquiry to our daughters fantastic instructor, the whole experience was first class. Our 3 year old had the best introduction to boarding that we could have ever hoped for – thanks to her awesome instructor Simone. Never for a minute expected her to be riding a chairlift, doing nose and tail grabs and even turning smoothly. We won’t hesitate booking again, definitely some progression lessons also for mum and dad too – before we get left behind by the mini-shredder!!
Mum, Dad and three boys (14, 12, 8) brand new to boarding had private family lessons. Instructor Simone was excellent and the boys were whizzing along and doing 360s after two days. The organisation of the company was very good and communication both when in UK and in resort was great. Simone really made it for the boys and they progressed amazingly under his tuition.
Having snowboarded for many years, I felt I was in a rut in my riding skills and booked a private lesson with MINT. Our instructor ran through our riding, correcting some habits and then we moved onto learning new things. Euro carves, hitting bigger side hits, flatland tricks and pushing our riding more than we’d do on our own. Simone was informative, passionate and was generally stoked to be passing on his knowledge. What a great lesson, worth every penny.
You may feel that you no longer need lessons, but riding with a MINT instructor is liking riding with a friend that rides everyday, passing on their tips and skill and generally happy to teach as much as they can. I will come back to slash the mountain again with MINT.
