David started snowboarding in Chatel almost 30 years ago, since then he has spent many years travelling around the world to perfect his riding skills.
David’s snowboarding passion lies in freeride. He is the original mountain goat, a backcountry guru and lover of gnarly descents. As such David spends much of his time guiding clients off piste and in the backcountry. When not guiding off piste, he loves sharing his passion of snowboarding with adults and kids alike through coaching as a professional snowboard instructor.
David holds the BASI level 4 ISTD and French Carte Pro.
But it doesn’t stop there.
David is a true mountain all-rounder, and in between working as a professional snowboard instructor he spends his time climbing far and wide, having spent considerable time ascending the faces of El Capitan in the Yosemite valley, and putting up first ascents in Patagonia, Alaska, Kyrgyzstan and the Alps. David’s passion for climbing has led him to achieve the UIAGM / IFMGA Mountain Guides qualifications through the British Mountain Guides Association (BMG).
David is one of only a handful of professional snowboard instructors to hold the BASI Level 4 ISTD, French Carte Pro, and the UIAGM / IFMGA Mountain Guide qualification.
So what does that mean?
Well, David recently guided climbing parties on a 7000m peak in Kyrgyzstan, so who knows what will be next. One thing for sure is that David has the knowledge, experience and qualifications to take snowboarding clients further, deeper and steeper than pretty much anyone else in the world.
