RP ROBERTS x MINT20 — FROM SKETCH TO FINAL DROP

Hey MINT friends,

To celebrate MINT Snowboarding turning 20, we wanted something truly special — something that captured the mountains, the riding, and the community that made the last two decades possible. So we turned to an artist whose work speaks to snowboarders everywhere: RP Roberts.

RP’s bold, hand-crafted landscapes have become iconic in the snowboard world. If you’ve ever admired the artwork on a Jones snowboard or spotted his feature in Morzine Source magazine, you already know his style — raw, imaginative, and unmistakably mountain-born.

For this project, we gave RP a simple but meaningful brief:
“Depict a recognisable mountain view from around the Portes du Soleil, and weave into it the line a snowboarder would ride.”
What he created from that starting point is nothing short of magic.

For MINT20, RP created a three-stage artwork journey just for us.
It begins with the original linework: loose, expressive ink strokes that frame a dramatic alpine vista. From there, he developed a coloured pencil study, layering mood, tone and depth into the scene. Finally, the piece evolved into the full-colour artwork you’ll recognise from our limited-edition MINT20 apparel — vibrant, atmospheric and unmistakably RP.

Each stage shows the craft, patience and imagination behind the final piece. And now, for the first time, you can own a piece of that process.
