So you might wonder what the Mint team are up to in the warm up to winter? Well, in his own words, here is the latest from our new snowboard instructor Lewis Sonvico:
“Well that was fun… had a little skate then off to the Burton Hi5 2011 at Hemel Freestyle and ended up coming 1st. Super stoked! Followed by a rad night out in watty with the lads and then a skate to finish off. Good times.“
We hope you agree, that’s a pretty impressive result for the final leg of the Burton Hi5 Tour, held at Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre last night. The Hi5 Tour has been hitting the UK fridges all autumn… nice one Lewis!
Come out to the Portes du Soleil resorts of Morzine, Avoriaz, Chatel & Les Gets to get the best in freestyle snowboarding coaching from Lewis & the team from Mint Snowboarding!
Here are some photos of Lewis in action at the Burton Hi5 last night (thanks to SCUK):
ROXY and StarSki Chalets have teamed up to create the ultimate in girls only snowboard camps hosted by Roxy ambassador Tammy Esten, a coach from the reputable Mint Snowboard School and UK Roxy Pro Riders . Together we’ve created a programme to allow for female snowboarders to enjoy a perfectly tailored snowboard holiday with the aim of progressing their riding to the next level. Our aim is simple – improvement and relaxation in style and comfort.
The ROXY Snow Camps have been designed specifically for girls who’d like to improve their snowboarding in an environment that provides everything they need for a thoroughly enjoyable week in the snowy mountains. Not only will you receive expert tuition with our Roxy Pro Rider and Tammy Esten of Mint Snowboarding in a girls only group, but also you’ll get pampered and entertained throughout a week of ultimate luxury. This totally new concept in snowboarding will help all our ROXY Girls to step up a level and match anyone for speed, technique and ability. Whilst we know that the main aim remains to improve your snowboarding we’ve also designed a programme for the week so you can enjoy your time off the slopes.
Dates: 18th – 25th March 2012

“The Art of FLIGHT” London Premiere Jolly Good Show!
The highly anticipated UK premiere of “The Art of FLIGHT,” played at the IMAX in London last night with two screenings that saw a thousand strong crowd watch Travis Rice and crew on the big screen. We were lucky enough to get a seat and witness the movie projected on the highest quality visual format on the UKs biggest cinema screen. Mind blowing! Man of the moment, Travis Rice, dressed in full 1940’s fighter pilot gear, turned up to chat to the crowd and introduce his groundbreaking film. We even got to have a chat with the great man himself. It was definitely a night to remember, with the after party continuing well into the early hours…
